Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Pediatric Cardiology of Alaska is proud to have merged and become a part
of Seattle Children's Hospital. With our new partnership comes new
career opportunities. We are currently seeking a
dedicated, kid friendly, Medical Assistant to join our clinic
located in Anchorage, Alaska.
Responsibilities include coordination of patient care, managing
patient flow, and completing initial patient intake and screening.
Pediatric Cardiology of Alaska in partnership with Seattle Children's
Hospital offers opportunities for professional growth and the ability to
enhance already existing talent and skill.
We are open to new grads who have graduated from accredited Medical
Assisting programs sponsored by either the ABHES (Accrediting Bureau
of Health Education Schools) or CAAHEP (Commission on
Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs).

Assistants who obtain their CMA will recieve a 5% wage increase.
A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional
requirements include graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant
program sponsored by either the ABHES(Accrediting Bureau of Health
Education Schools) or CAAHEP (Commission on Accredidation of
Allied Health Education Programs). Basic Life Support (BLS), CPR
Certification. Acceptable certifications include any one of the
following: American Heart Association Healthcare Provider, American
Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) Professional Level, or American
AED/CPR Association (American ACA) Professional Level. Certification as
a Medical Assistant by the American Association of Medical Assistants
(AAMA) within 6 months of hire is required to continue employment.
